Dr. S. R. Gadakh is the Vice Chancellor of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krushi Vidyapeeth, Akola (Maharashtra). He completed his Ph.D. (Plant Physiology) from Mahatma Phule Krushi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri (Maharashtra). He has contributed more than 123 scientific papers, 8 Books, 70 Radio & TV talk and 161 Extension publications on various aspects of Agricultural Science. He was the project officer of 06 Ad-hoc Research Projects, out of that Rabbi Jowar Hope was an international project. In this Rabbi Jowar Hope Project various demonstrations were organized on the field of 22,500 no. of farmers for increasing rabbi jowar yield. He has guided 14 Ph.D. & 8 M.Sc. students. Also, he has recommended various useful technologies for improving crop yield. He honored by the outstanding partnership award (Asia)-2014 from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He is the recipient of Vasantrao Naik Memorial Award - 2003, Udyog Ratna Award - 2011 & 2014 etc. He has vast experience of teaching, research, extension and administration.
